Greetings to all.

I am wonder how often do you watercoolers replace water ?

I am asking this because... yesterday my water pump broke and I was thinking of going back to aircool anyways.
So I uninstalled all my watercooling kit from my computer and drain the water...

Sure my cheap HomeDepot Clear Tube have became all white not too long after I first started watercooling. But when I did drain the water yesterday, it was still very clear and not so jelly alike ;) So? you say? Well It is same water since... atleast 1.5 years ago and I have proably added only like half cup worth of water to it since. I used nothing but Distilled Water + Deionized water. I was using DangerDen3 waterblock and it is clean inside, no white stuff.

Is this how it is with everybody or am I just clean :D

I've never changed the water in my rad, no need to in a closed loop system. When I was using a bong...lots of dust would get in there and plug stuff up

No additive? I`ve heard deionized water is useless in a wc system. It becomes ionized after a while.

I changed my water once, I monitor it by sticking two electrodes in there every once in a while and measuring the cinductivity. If it is more than a tiny bit above zero, something is in there that isn't triple-distilled water, and I replace it.

I replace mine every 6 months or so, or whenever it looks like it needs it. It usually looks clean enough to just put bakc in, but I dont take chances like that when dealing with something cheap like water...
