I know my vid card is old a x850 XT PE. I was wondering on gaming how much life it has. I play CS:S and some other source games. I am also going to get the orange box when it comes. The thing is that I pick up a occasional game like I did with stalker and Oblivion to get some newness in me. I want to play Bioshock because I hear people orgasming over it. I might want to pick up a title or two later. I am mostly just wondering how many more months I could squeeze out of this system, maybe a year for a gift for someone.
 
If you can run Bioshock or MOHA at 800x600 you will likely be happy, they still look wicked at that res.
Get the Demos and see how they perform.
 
X800 series is not supported for Bioshock, because Bioshock requires pixel shader 3.0.. X800 series only supports 2.0b.. There is supposedly a community made hack coming out that might allow it to be played on the x800 series... I don't know the when/where/how well on that though..
