How is my new Rig?

Hey guys i just build this Rig yesterday so can you give me your opinion and a rating out of 10 for my rig please.

Specs:
Intel P4 640 3.2Ghz HT LGA 775
Giga-byte 8I915P Duo Pro
Geil 1024Mb DDR dual channel
120gb Seagate sata 7200rpm 8mb cache
Giga-byte 6600GT turbo edition PCI-E(silent pipeline)
Omni X510s
LG Dual Layer DVD burner 16x GSA-4160B
Logitech X-530 5.1speakers
4x80mm case fans
 
I would've gone with a faster, cooler, more upgradable, cheaper A64 and not a P4, which locks you out of upgrading and is pretty sluggish compared in most any task but media re-encoding. I'd also have gone with an NEC optical drive and 120mm fans, not 80mms, for the FAR lesser noise and better cooling generated by the stronger, less-turbulant air streams they produce.

Also, did you get a halfway decent power supply? Please tell me you aren't using one that came with a case. (Unless it's an Antec.)
 
id give it about a 6.5/10. why? when i spend money on a computer i dont go with midrange. i go with what is top of the line but not bleeding edge. i built this system in november of 2003.

nowadays its not that high end but it kicks ass in every game out there.

i would give your system a 7.5-8/10 if you upgraded the videocard. still is a nice computer though no doubt about that. hope i didnt sound stuckup or anything like that. just trying to be honest is all ;)

EDIT: i forgot to mention that i had the radeon 9800pro when i first built my system and later upgraded to the 6800GT. that couldve been a flamewar right there :eek:

And of course depends how much you spent on it.

I think the computer world is very demanding, everything changes FAST so as far as your systems downside i see gateways or sonys with specs close to those which is pretty standard at best buy and stuff so i usaully go the other way from crap that they sell at stores to at least be ahead of them since i cant be ahead of these FX 55 guys.

OH and AMD dude leave intel at the office.

Other then that Nice setup looks like you wont have trouble with anything.
