how does this wc setup sound

i am new to water cooling and just wanted to know how this set up sounded these parts have been offerd to me for a good price and are all new
[CPU BLOCK] Little River White Water AMD (Alu top, ½”)

[GPU BLOCK] Swiftech MCW50 Graphics Chipset Water

[CHIPSET BLOCK] Swiftech MCW20A Chipset Water Block

[PUMP] Eheim 1048

[RADIATOR] ThermoChill HE120.1

[HARD DRIVE BLOCK] Koolance HD01

Please give me your veiws as as i am a bit in the dark with how well these will work together

The Koolance block you picked will be somewhat to smalll compared to a system that is 1/2". So why not go with a HD cooler that has bigger spigots like an Aqua Computer, Watercool, or Innovatek unit. DD also sells a HD cooler, but it is very expensive when you figure you need to have it custom machined to make it usable.

Your going to want to either get a more powerful pump, or change the cpu waterblock (the 1048 is kind of weak for that setup). If you decide to get a more powerful pump the Laing D5 (DD D5 or MCP655) is a great choice. If you want to change the waterblock the Swiftech mcw6000 is a great choice, very low restriction and quite flow agnostic.


About the HDD block, the koolance block does have small spigots. TN, why do you say the DD HDD block needs to be custom machined?

yes i know hd block is not the correct size thought i could maybe drill and tap it to fit bigger barbs.I thought the pump might be week but I can get all that is listed for £100 and just add my home made res
Do you think i will have problems with the pump or will it do for now ?
and then when i get a heater core from a car i will need a better pump
allso is there a mod to make the pump any better ?

TN, why do you say the DD HDD block needs to be custom machined?

The day they were first announced I visited the DD site and they showed that it didn't come with any drilled and tapped mounts for the HD's. This was an extra charge of about $80. I just visited the site and that page is gone from the site now. So I guess you can get a complete unit now for a $100. I 'm continually amazed though how little that DD does that is original as it seems to be easier to copy then to design your own stuff. They even copied Aqua Computer's HD Cooler name.

You could possibly do the re-tapping sequence, but not with a HydraPak Drive. You would need one of the version 1 or 2 coolers.

Can we try not to get back into the DD copies crap again? As we have been through this before and the same can be said about AC and just about every other WC manufacturer. There are only so many things you can do with water and metal.

maybe i am best to scrap the hd cooler or can i run it pararell to the chipset cooler ?
ie res .pump .cpu .chipset and hd cooler .gpu .rad
