• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

How does the "infraction" system work?

Sorry if this is explained somewhere, but I checked the FAQ and the board's help feature and can't find out where the infraction system is explained. What does each individual "infraction" do, and how many are required before some sort of privilege restriction?

The infraction /warning system is basically a way for moderators and admins to let users know they've broken a rule, and automatically notify the user (while keeping a record)

There is a threshold with infractions, if you accrue a certain amount of infractions in a given time span, you'll be banned for a period of time (I'm not sure on the numbers at the moment).

It's pretty much an automated point system initiated by the mods/admins by issuing infractions for broken rules. If you amass a total of 3 points within a month's span, the system ayutomatically bans your account for 7 days and then reinstates you after that time is past. If you continually receive infractions, but fail to have it fall within the 30 days periods, you can be banned manually by an Admin for an accumulation of points.
