How does EL wire work is it just a long peace of string or do you have to plug it in to some sort of power source becouse I wan't to puut it in my keyboard but I dont know how it works :p

EL lighting works by pushing a high-voltage, high-frequency current through a layer of phosphor. This excites electrons in the phosphor atoms, which give off light when they fall back to their original orbits.

I was searching around for El-Wire my self and found this web site, and they also did a KeyBoard mod just like you want to do.
