I have a Sony Hi8 camer that has an S-Video outlet thingy and my video card has an svideo outlet thingy. My video card is a BFG 5900NU. It should work but nothing is happening.

Anyone not using USB and getting it to detect it? Im using Ulead VideoStudio 7.0. Nothing is being detected.

Thanks

There is a setting on the camera itself that you need to switch, look for it it's there.

ummm, your connecting the SVideo out of your camera to the SVideo out of your video card? Your video card needs an SVideo IN to capture from the camera. SVideo out lets you plug your video card up to a TV or similar.

Dont mean to hijack this thread but while on the subject, what is a good cheap video capture card I could get to directly capture video from my video card. I want to record my Medal Of Honor Spearhead gameplay in it, because I can own anyone I play :)

You want to hook the out on the camera to the IN on VIVO. Then you should just need some app to grab it assuming the camera is sending.

Yes I know...I have the Svideo line coming from the camera connected to the S-Video In wire out of all the different adapters that come attached to that one wire. You have to see it to know what im talking about.

Everything is hooked up correctly but how do i make Ulead or my computer for that matter detect the damn thing?

Did you install the VIVO drivers for the video card? They're seperate from the regular video drivers.

For some strange reason, I believe you.
