I currently have an BBA X800 pro in my rig in my sig below. I am about to aquire a shuttle system, but the guy can give me a PNY 6800GT but with an NV5 silencer, which obviously wont fit in the shuttle. I was thinking of taking my x800 pro, putting it in the shuttle, cuz it should fit fine, and using the 6800 gt in my RIG, but I havent had a chance to look into the new line of nvidia cards.....hence why I am here asking. How does the pny 6800 gt compare to my BBA X800 pro...thanks in advance!

I think the 6800GT does better in most tests/games. This is from the 16 pipelines the GT has, compared to the 12 pipes your pro has.

if you play Doom3... you're in a for a little bit of a surprise. ;)

Expect 5-15% gains coming from the x800 in most games.

no it generally owns the x800pro....the x800xl is the only card that ati has that is on par with the 6800gt (in that price range)

.....you've got it the other way around. nVidia cards do better in doom3 cause it's openGL.

I believe what bobsaget actually meant was:

"Expect 5-15% gains (in most games) (after) coming from the x800."

He just didn't put his words in the right order.

You people are great at reading comprehension.

He's stating that going from using an X800pro, to 6800GT, you will get 5-15% inceases...
