How do I setup Raptor Raid?

I have both my raptors hooked up to my ICHR5 and cannot make raid work. I followed the instructions on the abit forums, and the computer would always freeze at the screen selecting whether to install windows or repair an installation. I've spent several hours tinkering with this and have given up. I deinstalled the raid array and am restoring an acronis image of a previous winxp install to one of the raptors.

My question is, how do I get this raid business working? I'm so frustrated I can't see straight. What should be a relatively easy process is making me go cross-eyed.

I tried setting up the raid array and then restoring the acronis image to it, but that caused a blue screen on windows boot up. I then tried installing windows onto the raid array after resetting it, but that didn't work either....

Did you give Windows the RAID drivers at the beginning of the setup (hit the F6 key-thing)?
