How do I play Far Cry 2 through Steam?

[vbp6us]

I got a free copy of FC 2 and I know how to play story mode. For some reason, I can not connect to the Ubisoft servers in order to join a server.

How do you do play this game? So many people bash it too, lol. What are some BETTER games that are similar in genre.

Thank you

I havn't looked into this at all but I wouldn't be suprised of some terrible anti-piracy software built into the game tagged you as a pirate. DRM FTL. I'd look into that if I were you.

And I didn't like Farcry 2 (having only played maybe 20% of it). You'd have to define similar for me to give you a recomendation of what to play besides Farcry 2 (Farcry 1 comes to mind ). My favorite game "recently" is COD4. Play that game.

Do you get an error message or something? maybe it has something to do with punkbuster?

Better multiplayer games similar in genre? Try F.E.A.R. Combat. Not only is it better than Far Cry 2, but it's free!

I don't think it's an anti-piracy issue. I think it's just that no one is playing this game. It makes me sad/mad but I can't do anything about it so I will just uninstall this game.

No error really. Just that it can't connect to UBIsoft.com...
