HOW DO I OVERCLOCK??

i have a AMD 64 3000 processor, its the winchester. what can i overclock it to? what do set everything at? im using kingston valueram, pc3200 ddr400 1GB. and i also have another computer that has a 3500 winchester. i want to overclock that too. i need help!! everytime i overclock my computer crashes. need all the advice i can get

Read the guides (Stickied) and then cruise through your BIOS.

some things to be aware of..
colder generally = higher mhz.. not a lot, but every little bit counts here ;)
4x cpu multi = bad!
1/2 multi's = bad! (unless you know why, then it's ok)

Don't forget:

weird burning smell=bad!

why do you want to overclock?
 
Why is this post even getting replies? There is plenty of basic "how to" information out there (and most definitely in stickies on this board).
