Ok I got a customer with two machine an existing one in Windows 7 and a new computer I got for them.

Anyway his existing machine has a mapped network drive to another machine MEDIASERVER running I think Server 2003

I'm trying to make the same mapped network to the MEDIASERVER as the existing one on the new computer. (win8x64)

When I try to connect to the MEDIASERVER it ask me for a logon credential (username/pw)

the customer doesn't know it so I can't get in with the new one. The existing machine can get in to map the drive, so it probably stored the logon info in it.

How do I get this info out of the existing machine so I can use it on the new computer?

Are these computers on a domain?

Is it possible to just create another user on MEDIASERVER (or in Active Directory if applicable), give it permissions to the shared directory, and then give him the credentials?

Does he remember the username? If he does, can the password just be changed?
