How create a new array on ds3524

Hi

I have bought 6 new disks for my ds3524 san.
I would ask how do I have to configure to works with a vmware cluster on a ibm bladecenter already configured.

The following is what I have already done but I don't know if I miss something.
1) I putted in the the disk in the san
2) storagemanager says I have more disk space
3) I created a new array with the new - 1 (the spare disk). 5 disks.
4) I created a new logical disks

and Now what do I have to do ?
I think I have to map it with the esx. In the smanger I go into the "mapping" tab, under default group I see the new array, I click on it and --> change mapping.
There I choice the correct host group and the lun. and Ok.

Here it says to close any host applications and un mount the logical drive.
I am not sure to click on "ok" because the array is new... and I think it's strange it says to close the applications and unmount the logical drive..
Anyone can help me ?
I am afraid to delete some data on the storage... on the other array there are 4 productions servers very important..

I'm not familiar with the DS3524, but generally you have to carve out the LUNs from the new array pool and then present them to the existing host group.

It sounds like you should ask for some help from the vendor or the person who setup the environment.

Naah don't worry. It will only hurt once after you click 'ok' and your production array gets deleted

Ask someone who knows 100% before messing with the production machine.

You will probably need to add the ESXI hosts to the SAN so the SAN will communicate with them.
On the ESXi server you should select "Add Storage" under the datastores section.

Like people have already stated, if you don't know what you're doing get some help from someone who does.

You need to find out how the the esxi host is zoned to the storage array. Fiber channel iscsi or nfs. Either way do not mess with this stuff unless you know what your doing.
