How about a Hi-res Projector?

Those hi-res projectors you see selling now to consumers.....how good are they as displays?
And would you use them for viewing HD tv viewing besides the occasional movie? What about as a pc display?
What do you guys think about them and which model a good one?

i saw one of my friends projectors in action. It was displaying 720p and it looked very nice on those HD channels.

720p is good for console gaming and tv but if you want pc gaming go for 1080p if you have the cash. Those projectors are 5k+

Big problem you'll have with a front projector is the cost and lifespan of bulbs. The typical projector bulb costs about 400$ and is good for 2000 hours. So they aren't the best for continual use.
