Hotfix for opengl released

As stated on the front page, ATI released the hotfix for opengl and also corrects an issue with serious sam2. This does support x1800 and corrects the temperature as reported in CCC. I am at 53c as we speak.

Do you think you could do us a bit of a test between default drivers and the Cat 5.10a's? It'd be interesting to see if the 30-35% performance increase when using AA is accurate or not.
 
How does one enable this option?

Just download and install and it's good to go?

'parently so. It's not actually a "tool" but an optimisation for the X1K memory controller(s), so it will only work for those types of cards.

That's on the XT/512. Performance gain on the XL is lower.
 
Interestingly the 8.18 betas also leaked. I'll have to check out both. 8.18s are only for x1x00 series though.
 
So this hotfix only works on the X1x00 series? Not the X800, X600 and X300 series?

Why would they need the hotfix if they work fine. Besides the ring bus enhancements only apply to the x1x00 series so it's of no value except to owners of those cards.
 
I have an 850 xt pe and would like some love to for those doom 3 games.

*sigh*
