This PSU is fail right?

This computer repair guy replaced my friends PSU with this PSU.. his was a gateway as his whole computer was.. then his motherboard died.. so he replaced the PSU and mobo.. and he has this PSU now and he looking to upgrade... so he needs to get a new PSU right?

it depends on what he is upgrading to, I'd agree that PSU is fail, unless he's setting up a basic system...

totally depends.. it is probably fine if it is just a web surfer gateway unless hes trying to get it to where he can game.. if the pc boots, then its fine. i wouldnt have used it in any of my pc builds.. period, but i usually dont build web surfers for people..

I was just wondering as far as reliability.

It's an old P4 in the computer.. but the mobo he replaced it with can support 1066 c2d and c2q processors..

He has a radeon x1600 in there.. and as of right now he is looking to upgrade the processor so he can get some more FPS in CS:S.. (E7200)..

Eventually he wants to upgrade the video card which I KNOW he will need a new PSU after that.
