Quick question: if one was to get an HP3065 and therefore 2560x1600 - what affect does that on watching movies and videos (both dvds and divx) i.e. is there stretching or does it look brilliant?
Well if you watch a DVD I don't think it's gonna look very good because DVD's are at a much smaller res than that so it's gonna scale it up to fit the screen. I'm not an expert...best wait for someone more qualified to answer that question..
a "standard" dvd has a resolution of 720×480(NTSC), your monitor resolution (2560x1600) is about 3 times this.. so each original pixels from the dvd is gonna be multiplied by 3 on screen (if i'm right.. but dont worry people will correct me if i'm wrong )
it will look like shit Lol, im on a 1680x1050 and it looks like shit to much for me to watch them on that. I got feed up so much so i hooked my computer up to a CRT tv just so i could watch movies with out the blocks. It works but its still annoying so now im getting HD content as much as i can
