Printers are not my forté, so I need some recommendations in this area.

I'm looking for some of the best photo quality printers you can get.

This will be used for printing highly detailed color photos and price isn't a large concern.
 
My father has a cannon i960(not cheap)
He and I both cant tell the difference between the printed pictures and those developed by a store(using a 5 megapixel camera to shoot with)

I cant really say anything about it other than that, cause I never touch it
 
I've been using a Canon i960 also, and it the best photo printer that I've used.
 
HP 7960 - the sheer quality you get from 8 inks is amazing, especially if you ever do b&w's, or photos with a lot of halftoning and gradient shading.

plus, the spring/hydraulic loaded cover is just plain cool =)
 
I use the canon i860 and love it. People can't believe the photos are not professionally developed. It also has a separate black ink tank for text. But this probably isn't an issue for you if you are doing strictly photo printing.
