My current NVidia Ti4200 is getting a little slow and I'm looking to upgrade. Currently, after a good gaming session the capacitors and heatsinks on my Ti4200 are too hot to touch and it really brings up my case temperatures, by a LOT! I'm hoping to find a faster card that stays cool and doesn't generate a lot of noise, any suggestions?
 
I think the 6600/rv350 line have shown to be the best for heat output when it comes to good performance/heat dissipation. Not sure about the X800 but it seems to run just about as hot as the 6800 series, (Though with obvious heatsink/fan discrepency)) personally the 6600 line would probably be your best bet.

If he's got a TI4200 then he has an AGP board. I would just get whatever card you want plus the appropriate type of silencer.
 
Well the 6600 AGP should be becoming available soon. Even with an NVsilencer it doesnt change the thermal output and watt output of said card, I assume he wanted a low heat output card for other purposes than just graphic card cooling. As mentioned above he's concerned about case tempature.

The heat the card produces has got to go somewhere, Which is usually into the room/case raising overall tempature.
