The crew at HotHardware have posted a high end case roundup today that features cases from In Win, Lian-Li, and SilverStone.

In Win, Lian Li, and SilverStone all make some beautiful cases. And when we asked them to send us one of their top of the line products, they all responded in kind: In Win with the unique H-Frame, Lian Li with the tall, all-black PC-X2000FN, and Silverstone with the Fortress FT02. (Regular readers will remember the H-Frame as a CES 2013 darling that overshadowed its less sexy but still interesting younger brother, the D-Frame.)

The all metal construction and whatnot is nice, but the internal layouts of these cases doesn't make me want any of them.

I highly recommend the FT02 if one has the room for it. It is the best case I have worked with so far. For the amount of air flow it is very quiet. I have dual GTX 680s and it keeps them nice and cool. My favorite part about the case is the fact that the components are turned 90 degrees so all the cables come out the top and then out the back (see pic). This makes for some nice cable management. I prefer the black over the silver.

The FT02 should win this easily. But for some reason I like the crazy looks of the H/D-Frame cases.

^^^....but overpriced as all hell and horrible in thermal performance.

I like the look, definitely unique....but the price does not match up with the performance.

What do you mean horrible performance? It beat both cases at load:

Recheck your hotlinked chart. It won on HD temps across the board but lost in everything else to both LL variants and the FT02 high variant. It also failed miserably at idle.
Perhaps this was always going to be obvious, but the H-Frame fared the poorest at idle. Although the hard drive remained at roughly the same temperature as the rest of the systems, everything else was a step or two warmer than the competition.

I'd expect more from what is basically an open air case that costs $400 bucks. I'm also not concerned in the least about hard drive temperatures, ever.

That In Win is the most [H] case ever.

It's definitely something different from the rectangular prisms

I don't understand this review.

The PC-X2000FN seems to be discontinued, the FT02 has been well reviewed for at least 2-3 years and the In-Win case was a limited edition that is virtually impossible to buy now.
