Hiding user from XP network?

hey everyone, i got a little question for you guys. my friend asked me this and i couldnt think of an answer for him so i told him i would "research and see what i can find". well google gave me no answers yet so here it goes. he says he wants to know if there is a way to hide a user from being seen on a wireless network. by that i mean hide a computer from being seen on the workgroup, network neighborhood, My Network Places, etc? im sure there is probably a command to do so... or possibly a registry setting? thanks.

Does this have anything to do with leeching bandwidth off of someone's wireless network?
