Hidden Web History Logger?

Does such an app exist? I'm looking for an app that runs in the background and logs all web traffic. Apparently my step dad has been doing the online personals thing, and my mom is pissed. So she called up and asked me to help her out with finding out where he's been. He's a tech savvy old man, so I need something thats pretty anonymous and unobstrusive.

Does anybody have any ideas?
