First of all i want to ask how good is this fan that comes with the Pentium 4 Northwood 2.8 Ghz Socket 478 Processor ?

And i want to put this on my GPU Radeon 9250 and maybe on 7600 GT later .
Should i put only the fan or the heatsink also .

How should i put the fan on the GPU so that it stays there .

i haven't done any of this b4. So i want to practice on a graphic card i dont need .Zalman or Arctic.

I dont really get what the hell your trying to do? practice for what? are you taking the fan off the cpu???

please elaborate more

I put a 478 heatsink on my 6200 agp card. I used zip ties  to hold it on, it was really ghetto. It also didn't cool worth a crap (no fan) so it would just get hotter and hotter. I reverted to the stock cooler. If it had a fan, that would probably help a lot. ;)

no man , i'm not taking fan off the cpu . i had an extra heatsing and fan lying around . I was trying to put the fan and see if would cool 7600 GT , coz one person had put athlon fan on 7600 gt and achieved 40% overclocks with volt-mod . So i was trying to practice on 9250 .

is it a card you are willing to lose. You could royally screw both the heatsink and the graphics card.

The best way to do it would be to drill screw holes in the heatsink that correspond to the card's mounting holes, and get some long screws and nuts to hold the heatsink on. The 9250 and 7600GT have different hole positions though, so you'll have to make a new set of holes if you do both cards.
