Hi. I just bought a Samsung DS 616 from a friend. I just have the pbx and the patch panel(m-block66 id guess it is).
Problem is, I don't know how to conncet it to make it work.
The left side connects to the pbx, and the right has 4 connections, 3 for phone, and 1 for fax. and the last two connections I don't know what it is. I'm going to be using it with POTS, so the cat3 lines connected to it are not needed.
I had assumed 'bells out' meant my line coming in from my NID. But patching it in different places just makes my house phone ring, pick up, and hang up after 12 seconds. I haven't configured the pbx yet, but I'm assuming it'd work fine from the settings of the last owner.
I just want to get the patch panel set up good first. Any ideas how to patch it, what could be for what.
