Hi everyone i finally after many attempts and going through 3 motherboards finally have a good gaming machine built for myself. here are my specs
XFX 780i 3 way SLI mobo
Intel Core 2 duo E6850 3.0 GHZ CPU
2 GeForce 8800 GTX's in SLI
4 GB of OCZ SLI ready memory, ddr2 800
dual West. Digital raptors in raid 0 config. 10,000 rpm hard disks, 150 gb each
rosewill 750 watt sli ready power supply
I am looking to overclock my cpu and possible the ram too? i'm wondering how high i could get the processor but keeping it stable, and how exactly you do that, ive been in the bios and tried some things but it just freezes up, i dont know exactly all what to do, its probably because i didnt up the voltage but i dont know how high to put that, if i want the processors at say 3.4 ghz? i do have a zalman fan on it for cooling too. and with the sli ready memory is says disable, and in bios i checked OC 3% which is like the 3rd one from bottom and it just froze up and i had to reset mobo. im wondering why i cant enable sli ready memory or what am i doing wrong, any help would be greatly appreciated.....
