help with networking a printer to laptop.....

Ok at a freinds office he has a linksys 4 port wireless router and a desktop pc connected via wire and laptop pc via wireless both running win xp and a brothers office type usb laser jet printer. Ok what are the steps inorder to have the wireless laptop be able to print to the printer thats currently connected locally on the desktop pc?

Connect the printer to the desktop, right click on the printer, and go to properties, click on "sharing" and enable the share.

Try running the Network setup wizard

after that click on add printer on laptop and follow the steps to add a networked printer. Search automatically instead of entering printer path and you will see it. Run network setup if you haven't enabled sharing etc.

Searching never seems to work for me so if it idesnt work and you know the computer name and printer share then just enter \\computername\printer
