airflow.jpg

I just recently bought 4 more fans... Please help me so I can have the best airflow in my case. From what I've been reading around, the pic I posted above seems to be the best choice, but frankly I'm not sure. I really really HATE unscrewing, opening the case, moving shit around if you know what I mean. So I'd appreciate some input If you guys wouldn't mind.

Blue = Intake
Red = Exaust

weee thanks!

hmm fan 3 looks like its in a weird place for an intake fan, wouldnt it just push all the air from the cpu hsf right back onto it?

i have the same case this is how you should do it

1 and 2 fans blow air inside the case
4, 5 and 6 fans blow air out of the case (also cut the stupid mesh out of 1, 2, 4, 5 it helps ALOT)
3 fan should have an air duct going to the CPU fan, and the cpu fan should blow air on top of the HS,

this way the cpu hsf will get cool air from outside the case and all the hot air is being sucked out from 3 fans,

its always better to have more fans blowing air out

The thing that I heard about 3 is that if you make it and blow out one, it creates a vacumm with the cpu fan... I like the air duct idea though, have a link or a pic I could somehow make one of my own.

Oh and what would be the easiest/safest way to cut the mesh?

I say chuck 1 and 4, and possibly three, you'll just have to see the temps with and without that one, assuming 3 is the outside duct fan.

2, 5 and 6 are all you need.

that looks good, htough i'd flip #3 around to blow the air the hsf blows out.... it'll probely give you a good flow out of the case and off the cpu...

Cut out all stamped grills, wire grills are best for airflow, but stamped ones suck.

Also consider cutting out the bottm of your plastice front panel, and adding tall feet to the bottom of the case. That way your case is elevated so the front fans have a better chance of getting air into the case via the large opening on the underside of your front panel. Bad is that your bottom of your plastic front panel will be more fragile.

Also make fan 3 a duct going to your CPU.

The top fan, and the two rears are fine blowing out, leave htem as is.
