Its my parents and it just wont work... I've played with jumpers ide chanels and all that crap. I tried registry fixes, nero burning prog windows burning prog and 2 different brand CD-Rs that I verified both work in my 3 year old plextor burner.

The files get cached but it just stops when the it begins to burn the files.

Its a 52/24/52 lite on burner with the latest firmware. I've tried the Nvidia IDE drivers and the regular windows ones for the IDE. I have DMA 2 enabled. Mobo is an 8RDA+

I ran the neroinfo tool thing in the nerotoolkit folder and it said the read speed war 12x. WTF?
