hello there,
i have a problem.i own an asus CUV4X-E motherboard and a pentium 3 @ 933mhz.i want to buy a new hard disk cause the one i have now(30 gb) is full.i found western digital 40 gb with 8mb buffer but i don't know if the mb will "see" it.and if it "sees" it i don't know if the 8mb buffer will be fully supported.they told me it depends to the chipset(VIA VT82C686B, i think).can anyone tell me if it is going to be fully supported by my mb?
thanks in advance.

I've used a WD800JB (80GB/7200RPM/8MB Cache) on a 440BX board and it works fine.
You won't have any problems.
