Help with finding a Program for making DVD

Hi,
I’m looking for a way to clip parts of a movie and copy them to a DVD.
My daughter is 3 ½ and loves music and the movie Mamma Mia.
I want to make a DVD with the music parts so she dosen’t have to watch the hole movie.

The first step is to rip the DVD to a video file on your computer. I'll let you figure that out for yourself. After that, open the movie with something like Windows Movie Maker and chop out the parts you don't want. When you have what's left, open it in Windows DVD Maker (if your on Vista or 7) or another freebe DVD maker for XP.
