Help with drivers for two different cards??

I am trying to run a multi-monitor setup with these 2 cards.... Nvidia FX5500 and the Nvidia GeForce 220...

Is it possible?

I am trying to get it to work, but I can only get one to work at a time. I tried installing 2 different drivers and that crashed the machine like I thought. Is there some magic driver that has both of these cards? Or am I out of luck?

you are out of luck.. the last driver version to officially support the FX series is the 175.19 drivers which do not support the GT220. also it'll only work in windows XP and not windows 7.

Those are pretty damn old, but they are Vista x64 drivers, which means they should be WDDM 1.0 and compatible with Windows 7 x64 also.

They shouldn't have to use the same driver. I've done a modern AMD card and a legacy ATI card with different drivers in the same system before. Usually the only thing that conflicts is the control panel, so just extract the driver using something like winrar and do the driver install manually via device manager on the older card.
