Ok I bought an antec p180b from outpost.com a few weeks ago when they had their sale. After getting the product (it was on backorder) on sept. 22nd, I was able to build my computer by sept 29th. As soon as I did though I found that the front usb port on the case was broken. I could tell it was physically damaged, and when I plugged it into the mb, it wouldnt post and would flash the internal lights. I tried other usb devices on the port so I know the port on the motherboard is fine.
Anyways as soon as i saw this I emailed outpost about it (sept 30th), asking for either a replacement port, or a replacement case. They didn't reply to me at all. On October 4th I send another email, this time demanding that someone reply to my problem. Now on October 10th I have yet to recieve a reply. I've even tried calling them but I don't get through.
I'm so frustrated, I feel like they are just ignoring my emails so that they don't have to ship me a new product. This was defective out of the box since I didn't even take the case out until September 29th. I'm really angry, and I need some advice on what I can do.
PS: If worst comes to worst is there any way I can replace the usb port on the case? I thought about buying a usb 2.0, something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817402011 and soldering it in place of what is already in the case. Any ideas on a course of action?
