Ok I bought an antec p180b from outpost.com a few weeks ago when they had their sale. After getting the product (it was on backorder) on sept. 22nd, I was able to build my computer by sept 29th. As soon as I did though I found that the front usb port on the case was broken. I could tell it was physically damaged, and when I plugged it into the mb, it wouldnt post and would flash the internal lights. I tried other usb devices on the port so I know the port on the motherboard is fine.

Anyways as soon as i saw this I emailed outpost about it (sept 30th), asking for either a replacement port, or a replacement case. They didn't reply to me at all. On October 4th I send another email, this time demanding that someone reply to my problem. Now on October 10th I have yet to recieve a reply. I've even tried calling them but I don't get through.

I'm so frustrated, I feel like they are just ignoring my emails so that they don't have to ship me a new product. This was defective out of the box since I didn't even take the case out until September 29th. I'm really angry, and I need some advice on what I can do.

PS: If worst comes to worst is there any way I can replace the usb port on the case? I thought about buying a usb 2.0, something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817402011 and soldering it in place of what is already in the case. Any ideas on a course of action?

As long as you are sure it is broken and not just hooked into the motherboard wrong file a chargeback with your credit card company/bank. Tell them the product is defective and the seller will not answer to you on it. That should get outpost's attention and they should contact you then to get it fixed/replaced for you.

Yea it's definitely broken, the internal divider is loose and things don't look "normal" One question though, can they ask me to pay out of my own pocket to send the case back to them? I mean the thing weighs like 40 pounds so there's no way I'm willing to pay to ship back to them for something that was defective out of the box.

Most of the time it is up to you to ship it back. If you bitch you may be able to make them cover the shipping.

My USB ports on the front are broken too, but not from shipping. I broke mine by winging my chair around, hitting 2 things that were plugged into it.

If you find a replacement part, please let me know. I never realized how much I used my front USB until they're gone.

Contact Antec, they have great Customer Service and will be able to sort something out.

yea i think ill try antec before i try to deal with outpost anymore. If I'm lucky theyll send me a spare usb port.

i've done this with my super lanboys. antec loves their customers.

I just contacted Antec. Told them it was my fault the front USB ports were broke. Ioffered to pay for replacements and shipping. They are sending me a free replacement including shipping.

I'm glad antec is so good. Just as I was about to contact them last week though outpost got back to me and sent me a replacement free of charge and are paying for shipping. But I like antec, been using them for years so it's good to see their customer service is up to par.

I have been dealing with Antec the last few days, regarding a new face for my aria. I have to say that their customer service is the best. Im glad to hear that both companys were willing to fix the problem for ya.

Yea customer service is great, i ordered a new front bezel for the same case, and they sent me the wrong one. So they guy said "Well i dont want it back. lol". And put me a new order in.
