Help with case expansion construction?

Bottom line - my lanboy is too small to fit my watercooling components. The radiator cannot be placed at the rear of the case even though I have a radbox, due to tubing routing issues, and it cannot be placed ontop of the case b/c I flipped my PSU and cut two blowholes in the top - one for the PU fan and one for a fan to cool the ram slightly.

Sooo I need to construct an expansion to my case and will place it either above or below the case.

Can anyone suggest whether the radiator should be laid flat, or vertically as depicted?

I plan on using four stainless steel tubes for vertical support, and aluminum channeling for horizontal beam supports. Should I use my 1/2" steel tube bars as supports at the ends or at two midpoints? Whichever option I use, aluminum will be used as complementing vertical supports at the other positions.

Any other suggestions are also welcome!
