Hey all, I'm getting back into folding. I fired up FAH GPU Tracker and got my GPU folding well but my CPU - using SMP (i5 750 @3.4GHz) - has project 6062. It has been running for about 9 hours and is only at 1%, is this normal? Why does this specific project take so long to complete? Thanks for the help.

No. Stop the FAH tracker running SMP and download and install it yourself. The client can be gotten here:

http://www.stanford.edu/group/pandegroup/folding/release/FAH6.30-win32-SMP.zip

Just extract the application and run. The first time you will be asked to put in all your preferences. When you've finished, don't let it run; quit it and restart it, since some of the settings don't take until the client is restarted. I would estimate it should be taking about 5min or so per 1%.

Will do, what is wrong with the tracker and SMP?

no its not the program thats the problem. the problem is the permission levels in windows not allowing the program to write to the log file. you may have to run the program in admin mode if you dont have it running from your root folder (C:\).

now if you decide you want to try the actual client that Mr. Pedantic decided to link to without any guide to help you. use this guide to set it up http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1511766
