Every time I start Windows XP it insists that one of your drives has to be checked for consistency. If I let it doe the check it finds nothing wrong, but it wants to do it every single time I start Windows.
I had this problem once before and in the end I had to copy everything off the hard disk, format it and copy it back which solved the problem but now its back.
The drive is a 200GB SATA Maxtor with a single partition formatted with NTFS and its about half full of music and pictures. Its a fairly new drive (only about six months old). Looks like someone else had a similar problem but nobody had a solution.
Any suggestions what I might be able to do to stop this?
Thanks for the advice.
