will an athlon xp mobile 2400+ or any other barton core cpu work on an abit kg-7? I have an abit kg7 and kingston valueram pc2700 and was hoping to oc it to 3200+ speeds with this setup if it would work

also has anyone had any luck overclocking kingston valueram pc2700 cas 2.5? I'm hoping to run these ram at 200 mghz or maybe even 210.

and also i would like to know how to run 2 programs of prime95 at the same time.

Well per Abit's website (where I obtained the user manual for your MB), it supports 200/266 mhz FSB chips, which mobile bartons are. However, it states it only supports PC1600/2100 ram. I don't see a BIOS update that changes this.
So, it may work. Getting it up to pc3200 bus speeds may be asking too much however, and it looks like for sure it is not officially supported by the board.
Other than that, you'll have to try it and find out I guess.

thanks i'll try it out...just ordered the cpu off the egg...are the mobile 2400+ factory unlocked??
