Help...weirdness after major changes in comp...

I bought a new motherboard and processor, and installed them along with a clean Windows XP Home installation.

There's just a major problems with my comp now, though...

I can't shut it down. I tried using the standard Start>Shut down method, and pressing the power button, but, for some reason, instead of shutting down, it resets.

I checked the BIOS and the Power Settings in Control Panel, and don't see anything wrong...yet again, I'm still a semi-newbie when it comes to installing parts.

Check your headers...those little cables that run from your case to your mobo. It sounds like you have the POWER header attached to the RESET station. Your mobo's instructions should have more info on this, and tell you the correct settings.
