Hello All, New to this forum and new to this monitor, This thing works perfectly except on bootup it does not display bios information, the screen says DVi cannot display this mode then it goes straight to the logon screen, i know there are alot of Dell owners in this forum and thought I'd ask for some advice, other than this the monitor is perfect! could just use some helpi n setting it up properly, i mean what's an overclocker to do w/o the bios info? Any assistace is appreciated.

bump. Mine does something similar. It will skip the vga bios screen and go straight to the mobo post screen.

Try resetting your monitor back to it's default settings and see if there is any change. I think I had a similar problem back in November and this took care of it.

Thanks, I'll give it a try! I didn't change any settings to begin with, but will try anyways. would this in anyway have to do w/ the fact that the dell hs a DVI-D conectionand my eVGA 5900se has an DVI-I?

I have this exact same problem too. Although I have a BFG FX 5900. I get the problem when I use the input switch, when I turn off and then on the display while in Windows, along with the boot up screen. The only way to fix it if it loses signal in windows is to disconnect the DVI-D connector and reconnect it.

I've tried using an FX 5200 and it works fine in boot up and with input switching.

The video BIOS version is 4.35.20.22.01, which seems to be the latest, so I'm not sure what to do next. Otherwise the display is fantastic. Maybe I should get a different card.
