Sorry for posting this here, I had no idea where it would fit here, and I am desperate.

'A jet flew from Tokyo to Bangkok, a distance of 4800km. On the return trip, the speed was decreased by 200km/h. If the difference in the times of the flights was 2 hours, what was the jet's speed from Bangkok to Tokyo?'

y=second flight's duration

x=second flight's speed

I need to find X

4800/y=x

4800/(y-2)=x+200

Halp, please with the method and answer ?

i'm sure that question does'nt go in the vid card forum...

but has a hint, you're goiing to have trouble finding your andswer with that equation

you better try with

Original trip: 4800 / y = x
Return Trip : 4800 / (y+2) = x-200

the spped was decrease on the return trip... so -200
the time difference was 2 hours... if the speed was decreased that's +2 hours
that should help you a bit
