Help!!! Random Reboots

When i am overlcocking my computer will sometimes randomly reboot
I have OCZ EL GOLD 3.2V at DDR456 and a venice 3000+ 1.65V running at 2556MH.
I have an ok power supply on the lower end of averadge.
I my temps are nice and good where they should be.

Please help guys this is getting anoyying.
 
I would start with these 2 things. Lower clock speeds, and try a different psu.
 
U think its a PSU problem?

Oh and i have a dfi lan party ultra-d and my power supply is 20 pin and i have 18amps on the 12V rail. Is this the problem?

I don't know this for a fact, but I have read several times that the dfi board absolutely hates the 20 pin psu....must have a 24 pin psu. I can't verify this, as I went for the asus sli-dlx, because I didn't want to replace my 6 week old psu....but i kinda wish i woulda :rolleyes: Maybe next month.
 
Have you tried some stability tests. Run memtest for a while, run prime95, find out if you get some errors.

Otherwise what is your whole systme specs including hd's, number of fans, everything.
 
Ok i can run memory test and prime95 for as long as i could posibly want. Its rock hard stable. Although i just randomly have this problem.

1 250GB hard drive
Dfi Lan party ultra-d
2 120mm case fans
1 92mm case fan
Thermaltake silent boost cpu cooler with 80mm fan
1 Blue Coldcathode
1 Thermaltake Thermaltake 430W Powersupply 18 amps on 12V rail.
 
Now that you have eliminated the memory I tend to agree with SpoogeMonkey, if you go to DFI-street.com (thinks thats close) you will see right off that the DFI support people wont even want to talk to you till you get a 24pin supply with dual 12V rails capable of at least 28 amps (think thats about right) on the 2 rails combined.

Not that it's crappy...just not the right tool for the job. So far, my asus board is running great w/20 pin psu. I still want to get a new psu and the dfi board tho.
 
most definatley. that PSU is awesome man, dont pass up on the rebates that they have for it right now. and theres also a 10$ off coupon in the hotdeals sections from neweggwebmaster. its ALMOST as good as the frys Neopower fiasco that we had about 4 months ago.
