F*ck(sorry for the language but i'm so &%¤/ right now).

I was changing stuff in my system a bit after setting some settings computer just wouldn't post.

I thought, ah this must just be some little thing like always before no biggie just gotta reset CMOS Jumper.
So I do that.
System wont post, LED shows "C1".
I try shorting the CMOS again and even remove battery, I remove heatsink and CPU and check that it is sitting properly, I even try with another CPU(an old duron I had lying around).
Nothing will POST it.

My motherboard is a Epox 8RDA+ and right now I have no clue what to do, has my BIOS become corrupted like i've often heard nforce 2 boards do?, is my hardware damaged or is there just some little trick I can do to make it post again?..what do to??
Plz answer quick I must get my system running.:(
 
Check your manual for the error code. Hopefully it may be your ram sticks needing reseating or something minor.
 
I hate to sound like a doomsayer but your board sounds b0rked. you may have fried a vrm or something. this may sound wierd, but try it with core components only first....cpu....ram..vidcard and thats it. if you are getting nothing, try replacing the battery and not just removing it..of that dont work....3 letters

It looks good and all(no visible damage), and it spins up properly and everything except it just stays at C1 and keeps on beeping hellishly..I searched a bit on google and saw people were having C1 error with low latency ram but mines been running fine up until now and in manual it basically says the same, bad RAM or BIOS Checksum Error.
 
yeah i had a similar problem with my old 8rda+ board, first time it happened the resetting CMOS worked thankfully, but the second time, after trying everything you've said, nothing got it working again so i figured the bios was corrupted...either find a new chip or new board i guess
 
If the board is pointing to bad ram, try putting in one working ram stick and see if it'll post.
 
It might be worth it to you to try putting in a new bios chip if you're willing to spend the $5 plus shipping from epox. If you don't want to rma it that is.
 
Will RMA go through if I have had a Zalman NB cooler on board? I mean I can put old ones back on but I switched thermal paste on them to AS5, does that matter?
