alright. i start up the console, it does all its stuff. gets a project and then just sits at 0 out of how ever many steps. i have reinstalled countless times, but nothing works. my first install worked but would reset itself to all the default settings when i restarted my comp. any help would be apreciated.

How long are you letting it run before you kill it? It can easily take 20 minutes per step on some older CPUs. When I first started, I didn't think it was doing anything either, but I did check task manager and it was showing 100% so I knew it was doing something.
Others more familiar with AMD chips will be better able to tell you what kind of frame times to expect.

I think you got a larger WU and those take longer, but you get more points.
From the sound of it, everything is running fine.
If you want to max out your points I might try the SMP client, or running a 2nd instance of the client your running.
