I'm having a hard time making my decision on which monitor setup I want to use for eyefinity. I have around $1500 or so to spend on them. Here are the two setups I was thinking:
5x EA231WMi In Portrait mode resolution of 5400x1920
Pros:
Huge amount a pixals and a huge wow factor
appears to have smaller bezels
Cons:
Have to get use to portrait mode (no big deal)
Tons of bezels, although I heard they disapear when playing
Have to wait for the 5870*6 (already have a 5870, hoping they will work together in CF)
or
3x HP LP2475w In Landscape Mode 5760x1200
Pros: Less bezels
Still a lot of pixals
Could eventially get two more
Already have a 5870 so there is no waiting on the 6 output card
Cons: Non that I can think of...less pixals
Here is my system if needed:
i7 920 @ 4.5
Dominator GT @ 1700
5870 Stock clocs
Corsair 1000w PSU
Vertex Turbo SSD.
Thanks for the help. I'm definitely having a hard time making my decision. I keep going back and forth. Having never seen Eyefinity in person I'm not sure how great portrait mode would be. Either way I'm going to have to buy a second video card to push these pixels (once its supported).
