I'm about to do my first OC and would like some feedback on the best and safest way to do this. I have read and read on here as well as other forums but I still am unsure how to go about this. What is the easiest way to do this? My motherboard has an automatic OC function but when I did applied it it went from 3.4Ghz to a whopping 3.5Ghz!
Here are my specs:
Phenom x4 965 BE
4GB G. Skill Ram
ASUS M4A87TD
Sapphire 6850
HAF 922 case
Corsair 650 watt PSU
Cooler Master 212 Plus
Right now the stock CPU is at 3.4 GHz and from the research I've done on this forum 3.8GHz is highly likely while 4GHz is more risky.
