Hey guys,

I started noticing a drop in frame rates on BFBC2 so I decided to check my usage using afterburner. My two cards run at 30% usage....? wtf lol.

My 2500k is overclocked to 4.8ghz and still get the 30% usage and poor framerates. What am I missing? im using 11.5b drivers. Anyone else having this problem?

Define poor. If you play it via Steam, have you tried without the overlay enabled?

I used to run nothing below 80fps, but now I drop into 50s-60 and stay there at times. The game appears not smooth. I have found that other people are reporting this problem since the recent punkbuster update. Im thinking I may just reinstall windows and see what happens.

well this just pisses me off.

if I use 1 card then my GPU is at 70% or 80%

If i use 2 cards in crossfire im around 40% on both cards. almost no change in FPS.

Doesnt matter the clock of my CPU, ive tried 4ghz 4.4ghz 4.6 and 4.8. Same shit. I have reinstalled windows and tired 11.3 11.4 and 11.5 catalyst drivers.

Is this something thats happening to others? Does anyone with a crossfire 6000 series have the same issues?

its irritating.

make sure gpu-z, afterburner, rivatuner are turned off. these are the key programs that have issues with punkbuster and could be causing the issues. also make sure your crossfire caps are installed and working correctly. last resort change the BFBC2 exe to the name of a game you know that is working correctly in crossfire to trigger crossfire to enable and see what happens.

I have this problem but it's in the original Assassin's Creed. I have other problems in BC2 at the moment though (and other dx11 titles). If i enable vsync I get a gpu usage mismatch between my 2 5870's that results in checker boarding.

1680x1050

but that shouldnt totally matter. Becaues AvP at that resolution uses 99% of each GPU.

:/

maybe its a punkbuster issue. Hopefully BF3 will use every dime of performance it can
