Help me pick out a Conroe setup!

I'm far more interested in when prices for the chipsets will drop. $150 for a baseline performance board? Crazy! $250-$300 for a top of the line motherboard . Bullshit.

I'll wait until the 975 mobos are $200, and the E6600 is at $325. Until then I'm holding off. I've been tempted to get a 6400 and a 965 mobo and save $100+ but I think my computer can hold out a little longer.

i guess im a "big time overclocker" because i want to hit 3.2ghz+ with my watercooling setup

Yup! The 570's have been topping out around only about 325MHz FSB or 1300 Quad Pumpped.

yeah, i would want more than that. someone refresh me- the rd600 is sopposed to have enourmas overclocking potential (true?) and is sopposed to come out when for what price?

The only question is the lower end model, the Top two was listed as $250 and a whoppin' $325 MSRP fot he top model. There was a link on XS.

RD600 will be great, if you can find a board with it.
I'm guessing it's going to be rare.

what mobo would you guys recommend now for an overclocker? (non rd600) I want to get around 400FSB or so. Im also planning on going with the e6400/e6600 (after price cuts).
