Im looking for a new PSU because I think my current one is cause of problems with my PC.

First my specs

XP3000+ @ 12x200 (2.4Ghz) (mobo voltage is 1.85v)
1Gb PC3200 RAM @ 200Mhz
6800 GT @ 410 / 1.15Ghz (faster than ultra)
3 x 7200 rpm hard drives (2 on RAID)
1 DVD writer
5 case fans

Everything else is onboard, audio, lan etc

I have an Encer 500W PSU at the moment, this is in fact a cheap ebuyer PSU which I don't expect to be very good, but I was broke after I updated my system and my old one blew.

I've been having stability problems with all my drive plugged and my CPU at this overclock, in fact for the last month or so its been just @ 11.5x200 (2.3Ghz) instead.

I get blue screens and my hard drive lose power and sort of turn off for a second then come back on.

Anyways I want to get a PSU which can deal with this lot, i know the better PSU's can power more for lower wattage, so maybe im looking for a decent 400W? I want a reliable PSU with good steady rails but nothing fancy, the cheapest possible stable PSU which can handle this lot is all im after, I dont even care if its noisy.

Gotta be shipable to the UK, so preferably shops like overclockers, ebuyer, scan for prices etc, willing to spend about £50-60 max.

Thanks anyone who helps!

Antec Neopower 480W seems to be in your range and is nice and moddable with dual 12v rails. Also, for a little more an OCZ Powerstream 520W would be really future proof if you ever plan to get an X2 + SLI at some point.

FSP Bluestorm, or a nice Seasonic would be near the top of my list
the FSP being more budget oriented

430W @ £54.95

they carry the OCZ Powerstream but those run £95.75
(dont be tempted by the Modstreams they aren't that good IMO)

here are the specs on the S12-430

+3.3V@30A, +5V@30A, +12V1@14A, +12V2@15A, -12V@0.8A, +5VSB@2A

What mobo?

Does it use the p4 (4-pin +12V) connector?

given the processor thats a very likely assumption
(but I did cover my butt with the last link :p )

Thanks for your suggestions guys, i'll definatly look into these!

And apologies for posting in the wrong forum, I didn't see power supplies first time round, I think I'm going blind!

The question still stands, what motherboard are you using? That will play a big role here...
