Alright guys,

I need your assistance and wisdom here so that I can get my SMP and GPU2 play along well during gaming. SMP + GPU2 already plays along just fine. But not during gaming, I don't know if this is a known issue or not. They do get along but not with my games or more specifically the GPU2 client rapes my games.

And how do I set up FahMon to detect GPU2?

Specs:
C2Q6600 @ Stock
4x2Gb
ATi HD2900XT 1GB

How do I go about this?

I guess I'll have to pause before any gaming.

Question tho...
FAHMon -> How to set it up for GPU2 Client?
Frame Times? -> Seems as if I'm getting 1 day to do a WU (seems wrong here but I enabled big WU (10MB or above) in the configuration for the GPU2... Is this normal or ? I know nVidia and ATi is very different so I'm asking.

I'm not sure about the gaming part. I have nvidia, my gpu2 for the most part seemed ok, but I crashed once, so just started killing the gpu2 on my machine when I play games.
Fahmon, I had to update to 2.3.2b, then point it to the work folder (in vista there is a shortcut installed with the client to open that folder, it has a long name i.e. users/name/appdata/roaming/folding@home-gpu) If not vista, then I dunno.

Thanks, that helped...

SMP + GPU2 shows to only do 2316 PPD
SMP by itself does about the same PPD without the GPU2 running but is it just me or does that GPU2 PPD seems really low?

On page 4 or so, there are some ati posts. I don't really know anything about them cards, but I don't think your numbers are low, think the client is optimized green side right now(from what those people were saying)

With SMP turned off and just GPU2 running, I'm getting about 750 PPD...
I think considering the whole thing, I'll just stick to the SMP Client as it does its job well and doesn't gets into my gaming.

For the time being anyways.

We are folding test data with the GPU2 rite now (old data)

When we get to the new stuff it will work much better on the ATI and the newest of the Nvidia cards.

Yeah, Kendrak's right, as of right now, both the ATI & nVidia camps are just folding test data so that the F@H group can be sure we don't have another DirectX disaster where all those cards & electricity were in the end worthless, except to teach us that didn't work, so I guess it wasn't really worthless.

Anyway, I have a little different setup then you. I have the Q6600, but I have only 4GB of RAM, and a ATI 3870 card. On average I get about 1800PPD on my graphics card. On my SMP client, I get about 1100PPD, and I run a standard client to take up the last core, and get about 300PPD with that, so all in all I get around 3200PPD. It isn't great, but it's a Dell machine so I can't overclock or anything.
