I need to get a CD printer that can handle around 10-15 CDs at a time (back to back printing) once or twice a week.
I've looked at dedicated solutions and found a couple interesting ones like one from dymo. However that just doesn't look like it'll cut it going by some of the reviews that I've read. Others are way too much.
Budget wise I'd be willing to go with something ~$200-300ish $500 is really stretching things thin.

I currently use a Epson R320 that limped along until recently. I have a ton of ink for that printer left over from a refill kit that was working great until I decided to clean the print head because black stopped printing out altogether.

I'd be willing to use another inkjet printer so long as it can handle the workload that I need it to print. It must be reliable and able to print out a ton of CD's one day a week without the ink gumming up the ink heads when not in use.

Are there any other guys/gals here that print out alot of inkjet printable CDs that can help me find the right printer??

My Epson R380 has been rock solid for years. I purchased a continuous ink system for it and have been more than happy with that decision.

Of course, the R380 is old and you won't find one. The Epson Artisan 50 does direct cd printing and can be had for ~$100.
This will come with all 6 ink cartridges of course. But at $80-$90 replacement cartridges are insane.

I recommend this...

Thanks for the post! That was the printer i was considering if I couldn't find a suitable cd only printer. CIS looks very nice as well!

I'd love to see some more ideas/suggestions that anyone may have!
