Hello,
Well lets start off with what i have now.. I have a P4 3.0 oc'ed to 3.6, 3 gigs of ram, raptor hdd. I have an Ati x700 Pro (256 mb). I am getting a Dell 2405 FPW. Currently right now i am running this beast on an old Gateway 20 inch monitor at 1600x1200. I run most games in 1280x1024. In BF2 i run at 4x aa, and evertyhign else on high, on HL2 i run everything on high, with 2x aa. I get decent frame rates around 40ish. Anyways with the new monitor i know im going to have to run a high resolutions, i want to know if the x700 will be able to handle it, or should i get a new video card...
I use to be a hard core Nvidia guy until i got my Alienware Laptop with the Ati 9000m card in it, it kicked the pants off of my Nvidia Ti 4800. So the next card i got was the x700 and i have not been very impressed with it to say the least, but then again i only paied $100 for it.
Im probibly going ot be going back to an Nvidia card, and want to know what a good one would be for me to get, or if i shoudl get one for the new xmas present!
Thanks!
